What is engaged search?
Engaged search is a hybrid recruiting model. The hiring company pays an engagement fee upfront to initiate the search. That fee is reinvested into the search itself, specifically, the advertising techniques required to attract passive candidates who are not on job boards.
The balance of the placement fee is contingent: it is owed only when the candidate is successfully placed. If the company fills the role through another channel during the engagement, nothing beyond the deposit is owed.
Engaged search is selected when speed, dedicated focus, or passive-talent reach matter. It scales to single roles or multi-role engagements; the engagement fee is quoted to the scope.
