Engaged Headhunters ("we," "us," or "our") is a boutique executive search firm headquartered in Virginia, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit www.engagedheadhunters.com (the "Site"), submit a candidate profile, register for a webinar, or otherwise interact with us.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, employer, résumé content, role preferences, and any free-text you submit through forms, calendar bookings, or webinar registrations (including via our partners — e.g., GoToWebinar for live training events).

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and time on page, collected via cookies and similar technologies (e.g., Google Analytics 4).

Information from third parties: publicly available professional data (e.g., LinkedIn) when we research candidates for active searches.

2. How we use information

• To match candidates with active client searches and confidentially share approved candidate profiles with hiring companies.
• To respond to inquiries, schedule consultations, and deliver registered webinars or training events.
• To improve the Site, measure marketing effectiveness, and operate analytics.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Sharing of information

We share candidate information with hiring companies only after you have explicitly approved consideration for a specific role. We share data with service providers under contract (analytics, email, webinar hosting) on a need-to-know basis. We do not sell personal information.

4. Your rights under Virginia law (VCDPA)

If you are a Virginia resident, you have the right under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act to: (a) confirm whether we process your personal data; (b) access that data; (c) correct inaccuracies; (d) delete it; (e) obtain a portable copy; and (f) opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling that produces legal effects. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@engagedheadhunters.com with the subject line "VCDPA Request." We will respond within 45 days.

6. Data retention & security

The Site is not directed to anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
